About
Yaal is a fine art photographer with extensive teaching and tour guiding experience. Born in a northern Israeli Kibbutz, Yaal has lived and worked all over Israel: Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Arava desert, Sinai, Golan, Galilee, Northern Valley and Safed, learning the ins and outs from the locals.
Yaal was inspired by photography as a teenager, spending long nights in the darkroom. He studied at Camera Obscura, Bezal’el Academy and Concordia University. He has acquired professional experience at various institutions of photography and art production (The Israel Museum, Panorama Professional Labs, Baruch Gallery NY, The Jerusalem Print Workshop).
Yaal has extensive experience planning and guiding student groups, tourists and creative expeditions all over Israel. His photography gallery is located in the Jerusalem Hutsot Hayotser Artists Colony, just outside Jaffa Gate.
Yaal founded Photo Tour Israel to inspire photographers to be absorbed with the spirituality of Israel through their lens.
